In Drenthe, close to the border with Friesland, Boshuisje De Eekhoorn in Doldersum is hidden among the trees — sheltered, quiet, and surrounded by the nature of the Drents-Friese Wold. The enclosed forest garden of 700m² features several seating areas and receives regular visits from squirrels, hence the name. From the large windows, you look directly into the garden and hear nothing but birds. The cottage has 3 bedrooms — unique for this size — and is cosily furnished with a Swiss Sense box-spring bed, a wood-burning stove in the garden, a record player, and everything you need for a wonderful stay. You can walk and cycle directly into the Drents-Friese Wold from the cottage.

“The location of this cottage is ideal, nice and private in a super nice small holiday park. The heathlands and beautiful forests are in the immediate vicinity. As well as the colonies of charity, including Frederiksoord and a dolmen in Diever. The beds in the cottage are perfect, the kitchen is well equipped and the couch is lovely. The communication between the owners and us was fast and correct. Definitely worth repeating.

The minimum number of nights is 2. Summer holiday: 7 nights. Sometimes a shorter stay is possible; if so, you can select this.

After selecting, you will see the rate for this period. Cleaning costs (€68) and tourist tax (€2.00 pppn) are added to this if you proceed, and optional linen (€16 pp).
